We had originally planned a rest day in Elkford, but the weather forecast was predicting rain in 2 days, so we decided to ride during the nice weather and take the rest day in Sparwood, in the rain. We found out from two cyclists at the grocery store that our planned route was not passable due to a landslide (NB read the ACA addenda!!). After a lot of problem solving, maps, and discussions we found a passable alternate route using hiking paths and logging roads. The views (thanks to clear cutting) were amaazing!!
